My role at Scout7 involves the design and development of the suite of products the company offers, my main responsibilities include creating the initial design concepts right the way through to the initial Front-End build of the code. I am also responsible for the global look and feel of the products going forward as well as the branding they use.

University of Wolverhampton – Jaunary 2013 – August 2015
Web Developer / Designer – Wolverhampton, West Midlands

The University of Wolverhampton are a leading university and a major player in the UK higher education sector, contributing to knowledge transfer, economic development, wealth creation and social justice.

My role at the University was in the Marketing and Communications department in the Digital Marketing Team. I was responsible for the maintenance of the current website as well as email templates and micro-sites the university has (examples available on request). My role required communication with key members of the university and external companies to complete task for the university. I managed projects including 360 degree filming and contributing to the tender bid for the new content management system (CMS) delivering marketing materials for the university.

The university underwent a re-design and I was solely responsible for the design and build of the templates for the website to be integrated with the new CMS.

Mercato – September 2012 – December 2012
Web Designer – Birmingham, West Midlands

Mercato has continually grown year on year to a current staff of over seventy, our development solutions are utilised by a growing list of the world’s biggest blue-chips. In 2012 they received the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 award.

My role as a web designer was to develop a new responsively designed website for one of there largest websites. In this role I utilised HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I created concepts on Photoshop and then built them using Dreamweaver.

Welding Supplies Direct Ltd – February 2011 – September 2012
Junior Web Developer – Albrighton, Shropshire

Welding Supplies Direct is one of the UK’s largest online retailers of welding and plant equipment with over 18 years of online sales experience. Supplying large companies with the biggest names in the welding industry and striving to enhance the experience for their customer base. My role was working as part of the web development/design team who design and develop the current website as well as new projects the company is exploring, including an ecommerce website for a large international workwear brand.

My responsibilities include the maintenance of the current website as well as developing fresh relevant new content for the website. I manage the content and growth of the eBay store and work as part of the web team to develop new ideas. During my time at the business I have also been involved in email marketing campaigns and SEO using marketing and SEO tools.

elf Software Ltd – June 2010 – January 2011
ASP.NET/VB.NET Junior Developer – Telford, Telford & Wrekin

elf Software Ltd is a business enterprise offering innovative software solutions for organisation’s that have to manage a variety of Asset, Property, Terrier & Facilities Management requirements.

My role within the business was to develop the web-based version of the asset management software already available as desktop software. I worked as part of a team to test the current systems and find ways to improve the current system and implement them as part of the development.
